Different but the same

Snowboard blogs suck these days.  All contain some sort of board review, gay ass industry party, face mask demo, where I rode yesterday, which was the same as today, and a rebloggin of any YoBeat post/vid have pretty much made every blog bore me the same.  So I no longer read any of this crap, including the shit I post on this blog.  In fact, I'm quitting snowboarding to take up this sport below.
Anyway, three blogs of note that continue to entertain me (including YoBeat as that's the only thing worth reading in the morning) is this guy, and this guy, who are west coast and east coast versions of one another and then watching this guys vids, that are a copy of this guys.  Yea...the three dudes are all different but somehow the same.
Oh yea, the Wise is playing Seattle tomorrow.  Wish I was going, but theres' some snow to be had.
Enjoy.

  1. HOLY SHIT DUDE THERE ARE GOING TO BE A BUNCH OF UNDERWATER MOTOR-SPERM DROWNINGS WHEN PEOPLE RAM INTO CAVES AND GET STUCK
AS THE FUNTIMES BIEBER VIDEO SHOOT CONTINUES ON THE BEACH
WHAT THE FAWWWWK DUDE LOOK AT THAT!
W.W.D. WITH A HAMMER OF A LANK! DUDE. LET'S GO TO HAWAII AND STRAP INTO THESE DR OCTOPUS LEAFBLOWERS AND RAM INTO SOME ROCKS!

AND THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT.

You can tell when it's Your People. Yesterday was my friend's 38th birthday. New dads got the whole day off (I, um, had the day off too) to celebrate how we do: some sort of outdoor adventure, hoping to get some good laughs and maybe swoop some zones.
We started early by splitting up Hyak for a run, to avoid the usual Alpental Opening Bullshit. One run in heavy mank, but of course we cracked wise as we sweated and laughed and earned our mellow turns.
Rolled into upper Alpy lot at around 9:30. Top chair was already rolling, so we were stoked. Lines were only a problem for two runs (and not real problems, when compared to what can happen up there).
We got hyped after our first run, seeing a couple other internet same-vibers out there. BB gave a nod but was on some take it easy biz I think. But he was there. Cool.
After a couple rad runs we ran into YoBrooke, a self-proclaimed "born blogger." She joined our old person mobb crew and fit right in: all the right jokes in the right vibe.
Shit was sick. So fun. We old-person slashed around and tomahawked and clowned each other and drank beers and hi-fived and just did our thing. Perfect. Couldn't ask for more.
Not sure why the rest of the world is still hanging on. Just fucking let it go and be yourself: it's WAY EASIER, and absolutely freeing. You have no control over your life, so quit trying to control it.
I dunno. I've found that you really get to know a person by what they write. I'm closer with some of my e-friends than I am with my brother.
Whatever. You know what I'm saying.
Rumorator and I went to Whistler for like five days once, I'd never even talked with the guy. Felt weird, but I knew it wouldn't be. Dude's jokes are always good. A born blogger.

But yeah. Enough of this sappy shit. There's really nothing new under the sun, I think we're all just on the same vibe (actually, I'm just saying that so as not to come off as an asshole: what I really think is our vibe is the only vibe that makes even the slightest sense and all the other vibes are horseshit, but whatever). Thanks for the ups and stay blogging.

    for real:

    Five Regrets Of The Dying.

Google that and know that it has to be true.

(but dude: with the Pennywise. PUHLEEEZE with this shit! Grow up!)

  2. I just created a profile to say fuck you (RUgitn'board?) and you are correct. What are these people afraid of? They tryn' to get a legit job through their literary diarrhea? Conservative boreons. U list is laggit. And fuck taking snowboarding seriously. Shit was born to be fun and anything other is stupid. Blew off a sorta pow day to romper room with a bunch a 8/10year olds at a trampoline gym birthay party today. Such fun, got at least 3 to cry.
