Community

Got 56 minutes to burn?  Here's Stevens Pass 75th anniversary movie, Community.  Pretty much sums up what makes our hill here in the Northwest so special.  Malkoski's with clips at 1:35 and 50:53.  Enjoy.

  1. logging in to say I'm watching, and it's cool so far (all these clips I've seen on this blogg look really good on my teevee). But the first words to come from a person who identifies as a skier are totally wrong: I rode a snowboard there in 1988. This Spyder sweater goatee helmet motherfucker needs to get his facts straight.

I'll pause tape and check back in with commentary.

  3. Is this the same Stevens Pass on HWY2 in Washington? Because this one is all cool snowboarders on empty slopes.

  8. Looks like Arbors are the only holdover from my stereotypical Stevens loc setup. RIP chrome helmets and goatees.

  10. that final part is sick.

I'm into it. I want some old footage, even if it means Ken Burnsian pans over archival still photos. You duped me right at the start with a mention of "seventy-five years ago..."
    but I'm into it.

I'm going to have to check this place out. 99.7% ripping ass snowboarding on empty slopes (no skiers!), parking lots are only for backlipping (to deck bailout) shipping containers, sick.

shit looked really good though. Better than the Alpental one for sure.

SRSLYTHO THAT ONE DUDE HAD IT RIGHT AT THE START: PRETTY SIMILAR TO MOST SKI MOUNTAINS

OH SHIT NOSETALK IN THE CREDITS WHATTUP
