Man oh man are these guys in the news lately. Shit, even "the Goat" did an article on them today. I remember two years ago at SIA, hooking up with one of the founders and getting a pair. The story went something like this:Tom: "Sup Johan, so this is your gig huh?"
Me: "Yep, what are you doing?"
Tom: "Working with Crocs."
Me: "Crocs???!!! That shits gayer than a football bat. What the fuck you doing for them?"
Tom: "Uh, well I started it with a couple of friends. We're in about 12,000 accounts in North America, and we're going to go public in a couple of months. We'll probably raise a couple of hundred million with the IPO. You should buy some stock when we go public."
Me: "Uhhhhhhhhhhhh. Sounds cool. Hey, can I get a pair?"
In 2002, records show the company earned a gross profit of $1,000. In 2003, $27,000. In 2004, $6.3 million. In 2005, $60.8 million. In 2006, $200.6 million. Can I get some stock?!
