So were at the 100K thingy and one of the geniuses from Mervin is there, Pete Saari. He’s riding around on this board with reverse camber called a Banana Skate. It’s gonna be all the rage next year in the quest for who can out tech each other. Anyway he’s hosing us down about how tech this is and how rad it rides, this that and another thing. I convince him to pull his stupid ass Bent Metal binding off and let me throw a pair of Unions on and give it a clip. The dudes hymn’n and hawin about it, that I’m gonna clown him and what not. Saying “what am I doing, no good can come from this!” Using my George Costanza powers of “you know, it’s not a lie if YOU believe it” I end up getting him to actually believe that we’re gonna give the Banana Skate a real chance. Sucka. Blue and I both shredded to the thing around and came to the conclusion that Mervin Manufacturing actually has developed a SQUARE TIRE that rolls better than a round one.
