You know, I was in Hungary once. In Budapest and it was fucking GNARLY. We were at this "bar" and after two hours dude presents us with a bill for $2G. We're like fuck you buddy, then all of a sudden 3 guys in all black, with stocking caps and all pull us in the back room to negotiate. I look over at the other dude, and tell him to turn his Heiny bottle upside down and get ready to break that shit open and stab the dude in the neck. But big boss man that we were with had a way with words and negotiated our retarded $2G bill down to $1G and then made the dude let us drink on the house the rest of the night. We showed them. Probably drank $200 worth of booze too. Hungary...eat a dick would ya.
Oh and click on the Monday's Moff on the right side. Interesting stuff.
sorry to hear you had a really lame ass experience in budapest. it's a great city filled with great bars. too bad you guys walked into one of the tourist traps.

ReplyDeleteI did almost get killed by taking a pic of some dudes running a shell game on some tourists, and I got kicked out of the famous turkish baths for rubbing one out in the corner...but I really enjoyed it.
It wasn't really a tourist bar Mark, it was more of an "adult" bar. But still. Cool looking city though, just starting the trip out like that put a bad spin on it.
