No more "woa ohhh ohhh ohhh?"
"After 19 years with Pennywise, Jim Lindberg has decided to step down as lead singer. Pennywise has long stood behind the motto that you should always follow your heart and pursue what makes you happy, and we wish Jim the best of luck in his new ventures, whatever they may be. Pennywise has become a way of life for a lot of people, and has definitely become a way of life for us. As the three remaining members of Pennywise we feel that we are not done delivering our message to our fans. The band has always been about moving forward in life no matter what obstacles stand in front of you. We will begin our search for a new singer immediately. We will continue to tour the world and we are looking forward to writing new music. We've had a lot of good times and survived the hard times thanks to the undying support of our fans. We're looking forward to what the future may bring."

ReplyDeleteThanks for the intro Johan. Well guys, it looks like my days sidestage and behind the stacks are coming to an end. Time to take what many consider rightfully mine and maul the mike so to speak. The Wise hits a 10 day South American tour borrowing a well known front man which I don't think I am allowed to say who. The promoter is an old friend and didn't even flinch when told the news.
ReplyDeleteDuring that time I am flying to LA to meet with Lis Lewis, a famous vocal coach(ever heard of Gwen or Herbie Hancock?), and will stay with her for a two week crash session. After that we head to the Northwest for a 4 stop "break in" tour in the beginning of Oct.
Many of you have heard or recognized my voice on back up chorus' and lead doubling on most PW recordings for years. It's been a long road and I have payed my dues. Now it's time to fuck it up, front row and center.
If anyone wants to go to one of the shows and see what it about, get a hold of Johan and I will hook it up.
I dare you
