Monday – solid day in the office. Needed it after being in the mountains since the middle of December. Listened to M.P.R. on the way in. I always need a dose of M.P.R. to keep me thinking clearly. Hit the physical therapist, did some shoulder work then he looked at my grapefruit looking knee and suggested a compression brace for it, along with less use, and 4 Ibuprofen every 6 hours along with icing. I’m feeling like I’m keeping myself together with duct tape at this point.
Tuesday – off to
Wednesday – wake up with aspirin, brushing my tongue and some Visine. Fly with owls, soar with eagles or something like that. Put game face on cause the reason I flew out was to ass-ist in a presentation to a potentially huge Union customer. Over think the presentation with Kind Brother and collectively stutter our way thru the worst presentation we’ve ever done. End in more beers, no tears.
Friday – up early, breakfast, make fire, etc. At the hill by 11AM, deliver some goods, get the report of 7” new, get tickets and get on the lifts before noon. First run…untracked and a foot and a half not 7” of new. On the lifts again and guess what, no one here. The 4 tracks we made down the run were the only 4 made. Kill it all day on the Charlie Slasher. I got to say the hill was pretty eppy that day. Blue takes the dudes back to the city to catch a 5PM flight that they missed then try to get on the 7PM that I promised them that there was room, which then they finally made the 6AM on Saturday. Whoops, price you pay for pow.
Got back to the cabin from more smiles and tried to have a social celebratory bappa’s and it hit. 24hr poo flu. Was on a regular routine of pissing out of my ass for 24 hours from that point till the next day. By night time I had ridded myself of so many fluids that a bonus feature of the pissing from my ass part presented itself in the form of ball busting leg cramps any time I tried to move. So I’d finally get to sleep, go to roll over and wake up with a massive fill in the blank (shin, foot, calf, behind the knee or thigh) cramp. This happened every hour on the hour until the next morning round 9AM.
Saturday – not well rested I stayed home when the backside was finally opening up again after being shut down for 2 days cause of all the weather shit going on. A good foot and a half of settled new awaited while I drooled on my pillow and continued to wipe my ass into a rawness known to those that use an entire roll of toilet paper themselves in a night.
Sunday – manned up and got back on it. Challenged myself with multiple gambles of farts that should have been sharts but managed to keep things airborne and out of the undies.
Today – first solid shit in 4 days. Signed up some bro's for the Banked Slalom coming up in a month. Getting ready to hit So.
