LG Tour Seattle Stop

Rolled into town this weekend. This was the second stop this year but was dubbed the World Championships??? Hmmm. We went to the BMX Vert Final that had inline there too. At first I was bummed that we were going to be subjected to these homo’s doing fish brains all over the course but after a while sitting there, became stoked. Why? Because there’s a sport out there being promoted that’s actually gayer than snowboarding is right now. I mean c’mon, it’s kind of embarrassing these days to claim “snowboarder” with the Danny and Dingo show out there. Not to mention episodes of the “Block” portraying what it’s really about to be a snowboarder. Gayness has hit a new high in my eyes, but it’s still fun so fuck it.

But back to it, these roller dudes have gay on lock, so I had a nice little talk with my boys right then and there. “Listen fella’s I don’t really care that your going thru a scooter phase right now cause you actually get on your skateboards but if you EVER ask me to get you a pair of those stupid ass roller-skates, you will be kicked out of the house. DO I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR!!!” “Yes Dad.”

BMX vert was re-dick-you-loss. Chad Kagy, Simon Tabron and Jamie Bestwick are on some whole other planet. Blasting 12 plus feet out of the pipe. It was pretty incredible. The rest of the field was just not even on there planet and it looked like they were there to fill time verses compete.

We left inline and met Fletcher and the others backstage. He was laughing because there was a bunch of his has been friends that came out with their kids also and I’m thinking that he’s looking around at all these kiddies running around backstage thinking to himself “what the hell??? These should be naked chicks with piles of drugs. I’m a rock star damn it.” But there wasn’t any of them antics and he and the band are real incredible with the rats. So much so that he dropped the mike on the last song to knee high level, then came over and grabbed Milo to come out and sing Bro Hymn. Mi got some stage fright but that was pretty rad jesture. Another notch in the Pennywise bedpost for me and as always, a great show.

Isn't that the same song that used to make him cry when you'd start humming it? That shit used to crack me up.
