Post party Elan

The factory wanted to send us off with a bang, like letting the boys build their own custom boards wasn't enough? They had this traditional chalet in the Austrian hills that we went to for dinner. A bent hollow headed hammer was broken out and the game of trying be the first to hammer the nail into the stump was played. Every time you miss the nail, which is almost every time, you're sposed to drink a schnapps. Yea real shitty by the end. Then the top dog a Elan, Michi, brought his uncle to the party. Uncle brews schnapps and he threw out one hell of a sampling for us. Schnapps is basically moonshine. The Austrians ferment anything they get their hands on and call it medicine. Pine cone, apple, pear, beer...shit they'd even try to make schnapps out of rocks if they could figure out how to liquify the shit. Not to stop there with the over the top Euro hospitality, our friends brought this band from down in the "willage." That's how they pronounce village. These dudes come from willages with less than 20 houses. Small towns so to speak. Out Of Plumb was the name and they were kind of a Euro Bosstones that sang in multi languages. It was pissing rain out and these dudes belted out the songs without a care in site. That is until our token Japanese distributer Toshi got naked, grabbed the mike and started singing about touching men or some shit like that. Thank GOD for Toshi. We're gonna budget him in for all our travels as when he's around, he makes all of us look good.
