Still day two for this story. TJ’s pretty down for the Nastar racing. So much so that we buy 4 all day passes. He and I go head to head, and he takes my ass both times on either courses. What ever, it’s all about getting my win from Brisse. He’s already pissed about the method off so I give him a couple hours to settle down. My last run before I got to go down and get ready for tomorrows sales meeting, the call out comes. “Dude, let’s do this, today’s a new day and I’m feeling it.” Dan says that there’s no upside for him in this contest, he already took me yesterday, “move on.” I won’t let it go so he caves in and makes the bet. “You pay for the racing, and if I win, you give me $20. You win, you get nothing, you got to race me.” Claiming rights are good enough for me. He even gives me the lane that took me out yesterday. No worrys, I’m in the zone. Right before the stager gets out going Dan looks at me and goes “dude if you freaking beat me at this, that’s it. I’m going to my hotel room and calling it a day.” Dan’s the type of shred that rides from first to last chair so that was a pretty big statement. “3, 2, 1 GO!” And that was the last I saw of him. Shit, I felt like I was Craig Kelly in the Smooth Groove. Arms tucked, ripping the gates. I should of run a 16”stance with cant plates but that would have been to retro. Winner. Brisse 1, Johan 2. Check out minute 1:42 in TJ’s new Snowboard Realms for some action.
