Summers officially over as the Summer Hummer just got pulled from the water. A breakdown of owning a boat for this summer would be something like this:
Dock Space for the year = $900, actual use - 4 months
Maintenance, repairs, insurance, tabs and registration = $664 (very cheap this summer, usually around $2G)
Gas $405
Total = $1969
Days on the water = 27
Cost per use = $72.92
That’s $72 out the wallet every time the key goes in the ignition. But I didn’t pay for gas this summer, so actual Nose cost would be $57.92. Sweet. That’s not including the cost of the boat.
Bust Out Another Thousand = BOAT.
old tube = free from old tractor
ReplyDeletedrive up the river = $10
case of beer = $20
sit back and enjoy the river = free
split the beer/gas let it float down the river
so you actually spend about $6
money well spent
Thnx Captn. Next best thing to having a boat...
ReplyDeleteCaptn? That reminds me. I was thinking about going as Captn America for Halloween. But now I'm thinking about just strapping on some tighty whiteys, a red towel as my cape, some plastic sword, and drawing in a beard/mustache combo with a Sharopie and calling myself King Leonidis. Every time I enter a room, I'll yell...SPARTA!!!
ReplyDeleteOr maybe not.
